Hilda and "Shep" owned or operated several businesses during their lifetime, the last being Shepherds Fabrics, Supplies, and Antiques located on Campbell Ave. for many years. They were true partners throughout their marriage of 59 years. She was an active member of her church, College Hill Baptist, for over 70 years. Her Sunday School and Church friends were very important to her. For the last six years, she was an active resident of Valley View Retirement Center, where she was bingo guru. Life was always a big adventure for her, and she met it full-on for all of her years.
