          Saunders Rites To Be Thursday

Final rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Mount Tabor Baptist Church for Mrs. Virginia B. Saunders, 74, of Mount Tabor. The Rev. Albert Ostranter will officiate. Burial will be in the Calfee Cemetery, Mount Tabor. She died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in a local hospital.

Born Jan. 1, 1888, in Putnam County, Mrs. Saunders was a member of the Mount Tabor Baptist Church.

Her husband, Walter B. Saunders, preceded her in death in 1939.

Survivors include four sons, Artie of Mt. Tabor, Clyde of Crow Road, Jack of Roanoke, Va., and Richard of Beckley; one daughter, Miss Gladys Saunders of Mt. Tabor; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The body will remain at the Calfee Funeral Home until one hour prior to the services when it will be taken to the church.
