RODANTHE, March 18 - Mrs. Rebecca Midgett, 84, died Friday morning, Mar. 17, 1950 at the residence here, after a short illness.
She was a native and lifelong resident of the Rodanthe section of Dare County, daughter of the late Watson L. and Mary Gray Midgett, wife of the late R.T. Midgett and a member of The Fairhaven Methodist Church of Rodanthe.
She is survived by two sons, Charlie W. and George D. Midgett of Rodanthe; four daughters, Mrs. Aretta Midgett of Norfolk, VA, Mrs. Virginia Midgett and Mrs. Sudie Payne of Rodanthe and Mrs. Mary Midgett of Manteo; one sister, Mrs. Susanna T. Midgett of Manteo, 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the residence Sunday morning at 11 o'clock with the Rev. P.M. Porter, pastor of the Fairhaven Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Rodanthe.
