MRS. ELVIRA PUGH DIES AT SALVO HOME - Mrs. Elvira Pugh died at her home at Salvo Tuesday morning, November 9, after a long illness. Mrs. Pugh was 76 years of age.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Della Hooper and Mrs. Nancy Smith of Salvo; on son, Ernest Pugh of Kitty Hawk; one sister, Mrs. Polly Midgett of Rodanthe; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at the Glad Tidings Gospel Tabernacle by Mrs. Louise Rountree of Norfolk, assisted by Mrs. Lucy Hooper, pastor of the Tabernacle. Interment was in the family plot at Rodanthe. The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
