Born to Joseph and Debra Kiger in Portland, Oregon. James passed away in Spokane, Washington after more than a decade long battle with diabetes.

James was a 2-year letterman at Reardan H.S. in Football, Basketball and Track. In 1997 he helped the Reardan Indians to an undefeated season and runner-up at the State "B" Basketball Tournament being named to the "All-State/All-Tournament" team 1997. He transferred to Cheney H.S after his junior year and lettered in Football and Basketball there before graduating from Cheney in 1998.

James then moved on to Spokane Community College studying liberal arts while on a basketball scholarship. He was instrumental in CCS winning the NWAACC Championship in 2000. James traveled through out the world during his high school and college years playing on various national and international basketball teams. He earned the respect and admirations of numerous people all over the world.

In 2005 James (along with his teammates) were elected to the Community Colleges of Spokane "Hall of Fame" for their championship run in 1999-2000.

James settled back in Spokane. He worked for several companies including, Comcast and working as a cabbie before starting his own venture. In 2006, James started "Executive Transport" to service the Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho customers whom require a town car or limo service instead of a plain smelly cab. James was a people person. He knew what most people wanted and knew how to treat those that didn't. He had dedication and devotion to his business to the extent that he was exhausted most of the time. This didn't keep him from spending time with friends and most importantly his family.

James is survived by his son Jayden Kiger, a daughter Allie Deviny, both of Spokane. His parents, Joseph and Debra Kiger of Jesup, Ga. Brother Joey(Krystal) Kiger and his sister Crystal(Frank) Ugolini, all of Spokane Valley.

He was "Uncle James" to Cody Kiger of Spokane. Peyton, Byron, Nathaniel, Brandon and Darren Ugolini, along with Kearstyn, Danayea and Makenzie Kiger, all of Spokane Valley. Numerous friends around the world and extended family across the country.

PRAYER FOR JAMES
12/28/2010

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.

Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto him Our Lord,
And let eternal light shine upon him,
May his soul rest in peace.

In the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.
Amen
