Mrs. Fred Parvis, a life-long resident of Clarks Hill, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, at Home hospital where she had a patient for two days. She had been seriously ill at her home for several weeks and was taken to the hospital, Tuesday . Mrs. Parvis was 75 years of age. She was a member of the Christian church, the Royal Neighbors and the Nameless club. She is survived by her husband, a son, Arthur, of Lafayette, a brother, William Bell of Houston, Texas, and three half-brothers. A large crowd from Clarks Hill attended the funeral, held Sunday at 2 p.m. From the Dickerson funeral home at Stockwell, Rev. Fred Dunn officiating. Interment Johnson cemetery.
