Margaret Catherine Barnum

Margaret Catherine Barnum, (Nee O'Donnell, Boyle), went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 21, 2010.

She was born January 1, 1923 in Philadelphia, Penn., to Thomas A. and Catherine E. O'Donnell. She was married to Joseph F. Boyle, who was killed in action in World War II in 1943, and in 1947 she married Horace Elihu Barnum, who also preceded her in death.

She was a lifetime member of Air Force Sergeants Association Auxilliary and also a member of P.W.O.C. at Eglin Air Force Base Chapel in Fort Walton Beach, Florida for a number of years.

She is survived by three daughters; Barbara MacFee, Nixa, Mo., Janet Morgan, Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Rita Zeigler, Kissimmee, Florida; six grandchildren, Shelly Palmer of Minnesota, Kim Howard of Illinois, Melissa Hardy of Florida, Stephen Kellogg, Brian Kellogg and Timothy Kellogg of Colo., and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M., Monday, December 27, 2010 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Pastor Don Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. No formal visitation is planned, however, friends may call after 2 P.M., Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, P.O. Box 96105, Washington, DC or the Convoy of Hope, 330 S. Patterson, Springfield, MO 65802.
