He was born Bee Branch on January 12, 1927 to the late Walter F. and Laura (Watters) Hutchins. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mathel Bollin.
He was a graduate of South Side High School in Bee Branch and received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Long Beach Community College.
Mr. Hutchins was a retired supervisor from AmTran, a loan manager for the Southern California area for United California Bank, and a vice detective for the Long Beach Police Department.
He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of Pine Mountain General Baptist Church in Gravesville.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda O. (Welcher) of Conway; a son, Dick L. Hutchins and his wife, Debbie L. Hutchins of Greenbrier; a daughter, Vickie L. Champion and her fianc`e, David B. Parks of Fairfield Bay, AR; five grandchildren, Renay Sanchez, Jason Hutchins, and Patrick Champion, all of California, Adam Hutchins and Laura Howell, both of Greenbrier; four great-grandchildren, Noah Sanchez and Marissa Champion, both of California, Kaitlynn Howell and Shawn Howell II, both Greenbrier; a brother, Earl Hutchins of Arizona; and a sister, Dorothy Bradshaw of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Pine Mountain General Baptist Church with burial to follow at Pine Mountain Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway, 501-327-7727.
