We got her from the Will County Humane Society in August of 2004, she was little only about 20 pounds and about 6 months old. But soon grew in a whooping 65 pounds. At the humane society, she was the quietest dog sitting in the corner of her cage staring at me with those BIG brown eyes. She captured my heart in an instant. I knew I just had to have her.
She quickly grew into a lap dog, but after gaining some weight, that was alittle difficult. Many of our friends called her a "sausage". She enjoyed the couch and the blanket on the floor beside our bed is where we would find her in the every morning.
She always knew when I was having a bad day and would come by me to offer comfort. I couldnt use the bathroom without her sitting near me.
She loved squeaky toys and tennis balls which she always chewed to pieces. When it was dinner or treat time, she would be first in line with the other dogs behind her.
Molly was a superb watch dog, she would sit on the chair by the bay window in the livingroom and watch what was happening outside. Always, letting us know if something didnt seem right around the house.
She was only 6 years old. She was at the vet's office for almost a week, he worked so hard trying to save her. But, I ended up having the vet put her down, she was failing due to complications from diabetes.
She was buried beside our other dogs.
Words cannot express just how much I miss her.
