Charles R. Hurd Sr., 78, of Bellevue died at 6:50 a.m. at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport.
He was a retired repairman with Sears Roebuck Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Love and Faith Fellowship Church, Newport.
Survivors include his wife, Quintella Marsh Hurd; a daughter, Susan Buckler of Bellevue; a son, Charles Hurd Jr. of Toledo; a sister, Myrtle Ann Strunk of Falmouth; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
