John Machet Oyler (1837 - 1911)
Mother:
Lucy Ellen Dudley (1850 - 1922)
Husband:
Joseph Franklin Haymaker (1880 - 1955)
Grandma Hannah's son William reported her mother Lucy Ellen's maiden name wrong on death cert as Wilson. All the other records have Dudley.
According my Grandpa Luther Roscoe Haymaker and my Dad SFC Wayne Franklin Haymaker Sr, Great Grandma Hannah Mary Oyler was part Native American. The only links that I have come across is her Grandma Hannah Ellen Matchet surname being tied to the Indian Reservation Bear Mountain and her Grandparents Dudley having a Native American Burial Ground on their property.
Later in life, Great Grandma was in a wheel chair. Dad and his Cousin Tommy helped take care of her after school. She would share family stories with them. The last years of dad's life, we took many trips to Botetourt to walk through our family history.
