GREAT BEND - Gladys Nettie Siefkes Dunn, 94, was born June 8, 1916, at home near Hudson to parents Jacob and Nettie Ricker Siefkes. She died Dec. 18, 2010, at Great Bend Regional Hospital.
She married Russell G. Dunn on July 27, 1937, at Peace Church, Hudson. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1999. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who served as a homemaker for the 72 years she lived on their farm. She spent just the last year at Leisure Homestead, Stafford. She was a member of Trinity Community Church in Hudson, Trinity Guild, Extension Homemakers Unit, Farm Bureau and Hudson Senior Citizens.
She is survived by sons, Don R. Dunn and wife Carolyn of Ulysses, and Leon L. Dunn and wife Jan of St. John; daughter, Leah M. Hill and husband Steve of Wichita; sister, Bertie Lou Hayden and husband Leo of Seward; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by grandson, David Dunn; brothers, Melvin and Bill Siefkes; and sister, Marie Giesler.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Trinity Community Church, Hudson, with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. No public visitation. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Hudson.
Minnis Chapel, St. John, in charge of arrangements.
