Mrs. Worcester was born Oct. 1, 1914 in Washington, D.C. and came to Big Rapids in 1946.
She worked with the State Department and the Office of Strategic Services in South America, Ceylon and China during World War II. While in Big Rapids she was employed by the Pine Shops and the Robert Bergelin Co. and was a former recorder for the Mecosta County District Court.
Mrs. Worcester was active in community affairs, working with the Gray Ladies, the American Red Cross, the Blood Bank and local schools.
She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Big Rapids.
Mrs. Worcester is survived by her husband, George, who presently serves as Probate Judge in Osceola County and acting Probate Judge in Mecosta County. Other survivors include a daughter: Sara of Big Rapids; a son: Daniel of Big Rapids; two brothers: Daniel Vaughan of Washington, D. C. and George Vaughan of Philadelphia; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Madeline Luckie.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John L. English officiating.
Burial will be in the Highland View Cemetery.
Friends may call at Rogers Funeral Home until services Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.
