Ruthie passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010 at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX.
A native of Beaumont, she was a longime Vidor resident before moving to Austin two years ago.
She was a volunteer firefighter with the Vidor Fire Department.
Fourth child of Ruth.
Sister of Mary Lu Howell, William "Bill" English, Virginia "Ginny" Taylor, Margaret "Peggy" Joiner, Dorothy "Dotty" DeWitt, and Johnny English.
Survived by her children, Wayne McMellon and Peggy McMellon. Grandmother of Nicholas "Nick" McMellon and Benjamin "Benji" McMellon.
