Charles E. Kidwell, 69, died Monday, August 8, in Veterans Administration Hospital, Brecksville. He had been seriosly ill seven months.
Mr. Kidwell was born August 28, 1913 in Bucyrus to Charles and Effie (Schull) Kidwell. He was married August 16, 1947 in Bryan to the former Luella Jane Shaw, who survives.
Mr. Kidwell is also survived by a stepson, Robert L. Kiley of Mansfield, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary Jane) Rose of Bay Port, Mi., eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother, Wayne Kidwell of Upper Sandusky, and a sister, Mrs. Enid Charleston of Galion.
A lifetime area resident, Mr. Kidwell was a sheet metal worker with Home Sheet Metal for many years before retiring. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War 2 and a past member of the Ohio National Guard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wise Funeral Home Rev. James E. Updegraff will officiate and burial will be in Brokensword.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
