Zeek was first married to Berte Maria Edgeworth. They were married on August 4, 1940. Tragically Berte died on April 16, 1941 of kidney failure and she was 8 months pregnant. The baby didn't survive either. Neda Nowland was his second wife. Chief of Police in Hamlet for many years. Marine Veteran of World War II.
