ELKHART -- Michael E. Alert of Elkhart died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at his home of Lou Gehrig's disease.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Joe Leichtman) Alert; and granddaughters Alexandria and Mia. Other family members include Mary Eastman, Bill (Cathy) Alert, David (Darlene) Alert, Christine (Matt) McNeile, Julie Alert and Mary Lou Timmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jeanette; brother, Rob; and sister, Teri.
A graveside gathering will take place at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Rice Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family in care of Mary Eastman.
