Leonard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Aaroe; two sons, Randolph Aaroe and Steven Aaroe, both of Raleigh; a daughter, Susan Aaroe Sykes and her husband, EC Sykes; two grandchildren, Matthew and Carolyn and her husband, Thomas Johns; and one great-granddaughter, Sara Grace Johns.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from GE in 1989 after a long career. He is the founder of CartridgePro on Atlantic Ave in Raleigh.
Memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday, Nov 23, 2010 ,at Providence Baptist Church. Burial Service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Baptist Church Music Ministry, 6339 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC.
