Robert David Groeneveld, age 79, November 10, at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet, late of 622 Buell Avenue, Joliet, survived by his wife Elsie, nee Horn; two daughters Gladys and Arlene, both of Joliet; one son, Robert Jr. of Lancaster, California; one granddaughter Gail and one grandson David, both of Lancaster, California; two sisters Mrs. Helen DeHerder of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mrs. Marie Dornbas of Berwyn; one brother David Grennell of Chicago; several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by one daughter Phyllis. The family will receive friends at the Coyne Funeral Home, Taylor, Nicholson and Plainfield [Route 301] Joliet, Illinois, Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Krueger of St. John's English Lutheran church officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Floyd Olson Service. 815-726-5234.
