Doris attended country schools in the area and graduated from Cambria High School in 1926. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Glenn"K.G."Kepper on April 3, 1927. A daughter, Harriet Jane, was born to this union July 12, 1930. In March 1938, a daughter, Margaret was adopted into the family.
When Harriet was christened in July of 1930, Doris joined the Humeston Methodist Church. With the exception of 16 years of residing in Arizona, Doris lived in the Cambria and Humeston area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, K.G. in 1999; daughter, Margaret and husband, Howard McCauley; brother, Lloyd Paugh; and two cousins, Marvin and Kenneth Paugh, who were like brothers to her.
Survivors include her daughter, Harriet Jennings and husband Robert of Corydon; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Maxine Yates and Glendene Paugh; numersous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were held at the Humeston Cemetery on Sept. 4. Arrangements were through the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home of Leon and Lamoni.
The family has established a memorial fund.
