Went to Oklahoma Territory, then Texas in land rush from Georgia after Civil War. His father, William Baldwin of Cobb County, GA, was killed at Vicksburg. Starling was married to Mary Evaline Johnston Baldwin in Georgia. Together in TX, they raised 4 sons and one daughter on farm in Lockney.
