PIERCE GILBERT KIRK
Pierce Kirk was born 12 Jun 1885 in Madison County, the son of James M. and Susan Alice Evans Kirk. In Apr of 1912, he took as his bride Miss Linnie Bell Webb and to this union was born five children.
He was licensed to preach on 6 Apr 1941 by the Rock Free-Will Baptist Church and ordained at the same church on 11 Jul, 1943. He joined the Clifty Chapel Free-Will Baptist Church 14 Aug 1960 by statement of his faith. He was a farmer and a gunsmith. Rev. Kirk died 22 Dec 1975 in the Springdale Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife in May of 1974. Surviving were three sons, Charles Edward, Patavia, NY, James, Anaheim, CA, Earnest, Ontario, CAN; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Lane and Mrs. Mabel Vanhook of Rogers, AR; one brother Wyatte of Rogers, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Clifty Chapel Church with burial in Rambo Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Anthony, Wayne, Dwayne and Ronnie Lane, Bobby Davis and Troy Grigg.
