Eleanor Stigler (Lickfold) Gabbert

Eleanor S. Lickfold was born on June 24, 1917, in Grenada, Miss., and was raised there; her parents were Frederick R. Lickfold and Camilla H. Stigler Lickfold. She attended Grenada College and graduated from Mississippi State College for Women (Mississippi University for Women).

She taught high school science at Senatobia (Miss.) City School before marrying James Tate Gabbert of Senatobia in 1941.

Mrs. Gabbert was a member of First United Methodist Church in Senatobia, where she sang in the choir for 42 years and served as president of the church's Women's Society. She was also a member of the Cosmopolitan Club and the Magnolia Garden Club and was a leader of the Girl Scouts.

She died on October 26, 1994, in Senatobia.

Eleanor and James Gabbert had four children and five grandchildren.
