Lorraine A. Brenke
SALISBURY - Lorraine A. Brenke, 80, of Jefferson, formerly of Salisbury, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Seagraves Care Center in Jefferson.
Born Nov. 29, 1926, in Le Sueur, Minn., Mrs. Brenke was the daughter of the late Anton and Katheryn Miller Pollack. She was educated in the Minnesota schools and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Yadkin United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Spencer Women's Club.
Mrs. Brenke was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin William Brenke, on Jan. 7, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Maynard Pollack and Lloyd Pollack.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Lee Lanning and husband Jay of Laurel Springs; sister Carol Pollack of West Jefferson; grandchildren Kari Lanning and Bryan Lanning; and great-grandchildren Hannah and Hayley Lanning.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Friday at Summersett Funeral Home.
Service: Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Fred Hill officiating. Interment will follow at the U.S. National Cemetery, Government Road location.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seagraves Care Center, 200 Hospital Ave., Jefferson, NC 28640.
