Mrs. Mollie E. Payne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Hewitt, passed away Monday evening, July 1st, at 6 o'clock, after many months of suffering. Mrs. Payne was 42 years of age and was beloved by all who knew her and her death was a great shock to her many friends. Mrs. Payne was interred in Thornrose cemetery at 5 o'clock Tuesday evening. The funeral services were held at the house. Her floral tributes were many and beautiful. She is survived by three lovely little children and a young man son, who is now in the U. S. army at Fort Hamilton, N. Y. harbor.
