COLUMBUS, NC

Annie Lee Whitmire, 82, of Columbus NC, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the Smith Phayer Hospice House. She is the wife of Wilcy Ray Whitmire of Columbus and the daughter of the late Thomas Sidney Greenway and Eula Lee Greenway. She was a member of Mill Creek Church of the Brethren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Doris Cash and her husband John of Westminister, MD; one son, Roger Whitmire of Spartanburg; five sisters, Edith Goode, Patsy Tarbutton, Mary Henderson, Mae Hawkins, and Jane Plumley; three brothers, Thomas Sidney Greenway, Joe Greenway, and Don Greenway; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by one sister, Judith Greenway; and one brother, Calvin Greenway.

Graveside Service will be at 3:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Stephen Abe officiating.
