Waynesville—Ernest Lee Reynolds, age 61, of 202 Lum Boone Circle, died on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Smoky Mountain Health Care.

A native of Brunswick, NC, he had previously lived in Bolivia, NC before moving to Haywood County in 2001. He was the son of Kellum and Catherine Malpass Reynolds and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Mack. He was owner of Tarheel Truck and Trailer Sales of bolivia, NC and was a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church in Waynesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Don Letzring and Reverend Walter Bryson officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior the services. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the WNC chapter of American Truck Historical Society.

He is survived by his wife of six years, Arlene Reynolds; one daughter, Tina Reynolds, of Austin, TX; two sons, Kevin and Duane Reynolds, both of Bolivia, NC; one sister, Delores "Jinks" Koltuniak and her husband, John, of Elizabeth City, NC; one brother, Kellum Reynolds and his wife, Carol, of Bolivia, NC; mother-in-law, Edith Davis, affectionately called "Mama" by Ernie; a special friend, Tim Smith, who Ernie considered a brother; three grandsons; and a host of nieces and nephews.
