Mr. Triplett, a retired aircraft mechanic, worked for the Naval Air Rework Facility. He was born in Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth A. Triplett of Norfolk; one daughter, Jane Triplett Crawford of Norfolk; one son, Eddy F. Triplett of Gloucester, Va.; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph P. Lehman. The family will receive friends at the Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
