He was born March 24, 1932, in Commodore, Pa., the son of Everett and Edna (Kidd) Wise. He lived in the Huntsburg area since 1976 and was formerly of the Cleveland and Kirtland areas.
Carl attended Commodore High School in Pennsylvania. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1952 to 1956 on the USS Blair (DE 147). He enjoyed gardening, working on the computer, and doing crossword puzzles.
He married Joyce Treese on March 17, 1962, in Clymer, Pa.
Mr. Wise retired in 1995 from National Acme, where he had been a machinist for 34 years.
He will be missed dearly by his loving wife of 48 years, Joyce Wise; sons, Brian (Patricia) Wise of Willowick and Dennis Wise of Burton; daughter, Kimberly Wise of Chardon; five grandchildren, Anthony, Craig, Cole, Jacob, and Aaron; sister, Alma Jean (Ralph) Henriksen of Washington state; three brothers, Jack (Karen) Wise, Bill (Marilyn) Wise and James Wise, all of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Edna Wise; sister, Carol Rae; and his sister-in-law, Bonnie Wise.
A Celebration of Life will be 7 p.m. Monday, May 3, at Russell Funeral Service, 15670 West High St. (Route 87), Middlefield.
A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home Monday, at 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
