BENSON--The funeral service for Mrs. Mary Rose Blackman of Route 1, Newton Grove who died Wednesday, was scheduled for 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at Hood's Grove Baptist Church with Elder Lester Lee and the Rev. Joe Puckett officiating and interment following in Roselawn Cemetery.

She was 78 years of age.

She was born in Meadown Township in Johnston County. She was a daughter of the late John J. and Julia Rose.

She was a member of Oak Forest Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Earnie G. Blackman; one son, Weldon Blackman of Route 1, Newton Grove; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur H. Huber of Huntington, N. Y.; and four grandchildren.
