Eula Sinclair Spence, age 92, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville after an extended illness. She was a native of Wheeler County, Ga., and the daughter of the late Isham C. Sinclair and Lula Jane Murray Sinclair.
She made her home most of her life in Waycross, Ga., where she served as clerk at Elliston's Drug Store and J.C. Penny's for several years. She had been making her home since 1967 in Fernandina Beach, where she was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Fernandina Garden Club.
Survivors include a son, H. Lawrence Bennett of Fernandina Beach; three grandchildren, Michael Bennett of Blackshear, Ga., Jan Spangler of St. Mary's, Ga., and Jeanne Rosenthal of Orlando; brother, Lester Sinclair of Denton, Ga.; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday at Oakland Cemetery.
Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
