Mrs. Mary B. Meriwether, 72, died at her home in Hayneville at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Surviving are a brother, Roland Mushat, City; three sisters, Mrs. David Marbury, Mrs. W. B. Fowlkes and Mrs. Fry. The funeral will be held from Memory Chapel Thursday at 2 p.,. Dr. W. E. Denham, officiating. Burial in Hayneville, Ala. Leak-Belser and Tucker in charge.

Mrs. Merriweather Dies in Hayneville
Mrs. Rella Merriweather, 73, sister of Roland Mushat, secretary to the Governor during the administration of Frank M. Dixon, died early Tuesday morning at her home in Hayneville following a heart attack. Mrs. Merriweather had been ill in a Montgomery hospital for some time but recently had recovered sufficiently to return to her home.

She was a daughter of the late Dr. John T. Mushat, a prominent physician and planter of Lowndes County, and the widow of Samuel Russell Merriweather.

Funeral plans will be announced following the arrival of relatives from other cities.

Surviving beside her brother are four sisters, Mrs. D. H. Marbury and Mrs. John H. Frye, of Birmingham; Mrs. Walter B. Fowlkes, of Marion; and Mrs. J. R. Dawson, of Uniontown, and several nieces and nephews.
