MRS. HILLMAN DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. Alvah Hillman died Monday morning in her home in her home in Ellington Township. She had been ill for a year.
Mrs. Hillman was the former Cora Bartle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Matilda Brooks Bartle. She was born in Chicago, Ill., Dec. 6, 1895, and came to this community with her parents in 1900. She was married to Alvah Hillman Aug. 22, 1921, in Cass City.
Surviving are: her husband; three daughters, Mrs. W. E. Howard of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. Floyd Heronemus of Decker and Mrs. Irwin Herbst of Algonac; two sisters, Mrs. Arlene Chisholm of Bay City and Mrs. Arnold Copeland of Cass City; three brothers, Kenneth Bartle of Saginaw, Bruce Bartle of Cass City and Leonard Bartle of St. Clair Shores, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Little's Funeral Home. Rev. Leland Sherrard officiated. Burial was in Elkland Cemetery.
