Services for Young were held at the Southside Baptist Chruch with Rev. E.J. Bradshaw, pastor, officiating.
Survived by his wife - Mrs. Pauline Young; one son - Donald Ray Young; his mother - Mrs. Sallie Young; four sisters - Mrs. Sarah Bray, Mrs. Pete Burnett, Mrs. Johnny Weidner and Mrs. Dick Roberts.
George Young was enroute to Libya, Africa to work for an oil field construction company. He and 71 other passengers were killed when the Sabena Boeing jet airliner on which he was traveling crashed and burned as it circled for a landing at the airport near Brussels.
