Therese A. "Terri" Spychalski died suddenly Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at her home in Burlington Township. She was 55.

Born Jan. 6, 1955, in Queens, N.Y., she was raised in Old Bridge.

Tess, as she was affectionately known by her nieces and nephews, made her home with her husband, Mark, and her adored son, Andrew, in Burlington Township for the past 17 years.

Terri enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to various places in the United States, visiting friends and relatives. She always looked forward to her next road trip and had been planning another weekend outing at the time of her death.

Terri will be best remembered for her loving heart. Terri encouraged her husband and son to become active members of the Knights of Columbus and supported their work in the Knights. Terri also helped with many of the events the Knights did.

She was fond of bestowing endearing nicknames to all those she loved and it became the highlight of many family gatherings as we awaited the "christening" of the newest member by her.

Terri worked in the food service industry and was employed by Princeton Foods at the Fountain Woods Elementary School, Burlington Township. She enjoyed her time working there, preparing and serving lunches to the many students who passed through on a daily basis.

She also served as a religious instructor for CCD at St. Paul's School for eight years.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Eileen Klos, formerly of Old Bridge.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Mark, and her son, Andrew; her stepmother, Elizabeth Klos of Palm Harbor, Fla.; many brothers and sisters, Stanley Klos of Palm Harbor, Suzanne and Carmelo Calabro of Skillman, N.J., Mary and Douglas Hahn of Hanover, Pa., Patricia and Gino Enriquez of Clearwater, Fla., Lucille DeNardo of Brielle, N.J., Veronica Klos of Clearwater, James and Jeannine Klos of Valrico, Fla., John Paul Klos of Clearwater; her mother and father-in-law, Rose and Leon "Spike" Spychalski of Tavares, Fla.; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Diane Spychalski of Old Bridge; her sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Bob Fidalgo of Palm Desert, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Church, High Street, Burlington. Committal services to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
