Organized Crime Figure. Known as “Joe Diamond”, he became the boss of the Bonanno Organized Crime Family after the retirement of Joseph Bonanno, and held that position until his death from cancer in 1973. Evola used his influence in the trucking industry to become a major power in the Garment District of New York City, New York. After his death Philip Rastelli became boss of the Bonanno Family.
