Mildred Irene Morris Farmer, age 85, Taylors, formerly of Stone Mountain, died Feb. 17, 2007.

She was a retired schoolteacher of more than 25 years with DeKalb County, a member of Eastern Star, Amaranths and Stone Mountain Business Women's Club; she was a member of the Fidelis Namoi Ladies Sunday School Class at Stone Mountain First Baptist Church. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to extend special thanks to Lutheran Hospice, Assisting Angels, Michelle, Cheryl, Cindy, Tonya and Dawn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jack Farmer Sr.; and son, Andrew Jackson Farmer Jr. She is survived by her sons, Marks A. Farmer of Thomasville, N.C., Morris W. and wife, Betty Farmer, of Forest Park, Daniel L. Farmer of Douglasville, and Joe Richard Sr. and wife, Rebekah Farmer, of Snellville; sisters, Wilma Palmer and Opal Pittman, both of Thomasville, N.C.; brother, Kenneth C. and wife, Carolee Morris, of Southport, N.C.; grandchildren, Kenneth Farmer, Angela and husband, Bob Mussat, Andrea Schaffer, Teresa Farmer, Wanda Farmer, Delene Farmer and Joe Richard Farmer Jr.; great-grandchildren, Haley Schaffer, Kayla Mussat, Kylie Mussat, Kinsey Mussat and JonMichael Wheeler.

The pallbearers are Kenneth Farmer, Joe Farmer, Mike Wheeler, Jeff Smith, Smokey Monroe and Gary Monroe.

The funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at Stone Mountain Baptist Church, with Dr. Dan Parker officiating. Interment at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation was held Feb. 20, from 5-8pm, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, Snellville. Published in The Greenville News on February 21, 2007
