Ilene Boone Crowe Willis, 91, died at her home Tuesday, October 19, 2010 with her loving family at her side. She was born 3-8-1919 in Madison County. She was a kind and loving mother who devoted her life to raising her handicapped daughter. She was a poet and artist. She was a member of Davis Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Emmette Crowe and Lester Willis; three bothers and two sisters, grandson, Billy J. Ray, Granddaughter, Molly Wampler and great-grandson, Christopher Barnes.
Surving are her daughters, Inez (Phillip) Cromer, Linda (Henry) Sharpe and Shirley Crowe all of Asheville; one brother, Everett Boone of Marshall; one sister, Evelyn (Al) Conrad of Taylor Mich.; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
