Retired Minister Dies at Coolidge, Rites Held Today

Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Coolidge, at 3 o'clock this afternoon for William C. Todd, 76, retired Church of Christ minister who died in a Waco hospital Tuesday.
The services were conducted by D.C. McCarley, Church or Christ minister from Houston.  Interment was in the Coolidge cemetery.
Born in Missouri on Dec. 31, 1877, Mr. Todd came to Texas when he was a young man and first made his home at Donie in Freestone county.  He later moved to Coolidge where he had made his home for may years.
He was well known throughout Central Texas, having conducted revivals in many towns in this area.  He taught adult Bible classes at Donie and Coolidge after retiring from preaching.
Besides his wife, he is survived by six sons, Arthur and Ernest Todd, both of Coolidge; Samuel Todd, Alice, J. D. Todd, Baytown; Foy Todd, Vanderbilt, and Lloyd Todd, Waco, and two daughters, Mrs. R. M. McDonald, Houston, and Mrs. Raymond Wright, Lockhart.
