Argentina President. He served as President of Argentina from 2003 to 2007. Previously, he was Governor of Province of Santa Cruz from 1991 to 2003. After his presidency he briefly served as Secretary General of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) and as a National Congressman. During his presidency he achieved a dramatic fall in poverty rates inherited after the 2001 crisis due to the creation of millions of jobs and food aid to poorer families.
