Henry C. Wright, age 56, departed this life October 14, 1954 by taking his own life at his residence, Brandenburg, Route 1. He is survived by his wife Nannie B. Kennison Wright; children Robert and Wesley L. of Brandenburg; Mrs. Everet Wright of Louisville; Mrs. Robert Dowell and Henritta June, Brandenburg, Kentucky; Mrs. Wilmer Lucas of Guston, Kentucky; and Mrs. Shelby Wilcox of Jolet, Illinois. Also survived by two brothers, Robert W. Wright and Larkin Wright, 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hudson Baggett assisted by Rev. Ingram O'Bryan at his residence. Interment in New Hopewell Cemetery, Millwood, Grayson County, Kentucky. Commital service conducted by the pastor of the New Hopewell Baptist Church. Wright Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were: Wilmer Lucas, Shelby Wilcox, Eugene Kennison, Irvin Stone, Everett Wright and Felix Kennison.
