Mr. Smith is also survived by sons: David Lee Smith of Gallatin, TN and Robert Stephen Smith (Michelle) of Tampa, FL. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Carol Ann Hal, Clinton R. Smith, Jaime Heckert and Christopher R. Smith. He was also survived by one brother: William Robert Smith of Ponte Verda, FL. He was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Jean Smith.
Mr. Smith was a local Jeweler and owned Dick Smith's Jewelry Store of Weston. He attended St. Matthew United Methodist Church of Weston. Dick graduated from Weston High School with the Class of 1942 and attended Bowman's Technical School in Lancaster, PA. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Big Band Era.
Mr. Smith was a veteran of the United States Navy with the Seabees during WWII and served in the Phillippines.
Family and friends were received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home on tuesday, October 26, 2010 rom 4-8 pm. Serivces will be held Wednesday at 1 pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bob Sandusky and Rev. Jonathan Nettles officiating. Interment will follow in the Weston Masonic Cemetery.
