Mrs. G. J. Te Slaa, formerly Gertrude Kruisenbrink, died at her home in Hull Saturday morning, July 20, at the age of 86 years and 9 months.

She was born in the Netherlands and 1893 Mr. and Mrs. Te Slaa and their eight children came to America.

Seven of the children survive, namely, Mrs. Cynthia Ver Meer, John and Henry Te Slaa, Mrs. Dora Vander Schaaf, Mrs. Lammert Kooiker, Mrs. Dena Hospers and Will Te Slaa. Mr. Te Slaa died April 11, 1931. She also leaves 41 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Monday at the home and First Ref. church with Rev. Douwstra in charge. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.

Her daughter, Mrs. Jim Vander Schaaf, who for the past seven years had taken care of her, was unable to attend the funeral as she is a patient in the hospital where she submitted to an operation the past week.
