James E. Simpson Baker, 54, died October 20 at Methodist Hospital Germantown. He is survived by his parents Suzanne and Malcolm Baker; his brother, Franklin P. Baker; his children, James Simpson Baker, Hannah Nicole Baker, and family friend, Jason Sharpe. He is preceded in death by his brother Malcolm H. Baker III, and uncle, Dr. E. F. Simpson. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and attended U T, Knoxville, and U of M. He was president of Hyrex Pharmaceuticals, and board member of National Pharmaceutical Association. For many years he was a volunteer football coach for Germantown Youth Association. To his son and many others he was affectionately called "The Fox". Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 25 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
