He died Dec. 31, 1984, at the Heritage House Nursing Center in Overland Park, Kansas.
Willard had lived in the area about 25 years, making his home with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hutchinson near Amoret, the past 8 years. He had served his country during WWII in the United States Navy.
He leaves a son, Floyd Eugene Allen of Pasco, Wash.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, James Norvell of Great Bent, Kan.; David Norvell of Tulsa, Okla., Jim Allen of Memphis, Tenn., and Carl Allen of Laverne, Okla.; and six sisters, Mrs. Ruth Schuster of Ellis, Kan., Mrs. Nadine Rielly of Stamford, Conn., Mrs. Virginia Houser of Stamford, Conn., Mrs. Mary Mangels of Amoret, Mo., Mrs. Shirley Coakley of Harrisonville, MO., and Mrs. Mary Boyce of Urich, Mo.; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, in the Benjamin Cemetery with Rev. Gale Mack officiating. Arrangements were by Mangold Funeral Home, Amsterdam.
