75 yearsStephanie "Fannie" Boos was born May 14, 1829 in Bahlingen, Baden, Germany, the second of nine children born to Johann Georg Boos and Catherine Studlin. She came to the United States with her family in 1844, arriving in New Orleans, then moving to Louisville, Kentucky.

Fannie married John Henry Blatter on 10 August 1848 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. They lived and raised their children in Pope County, Illinois. Following John Henry's death, Fannie moved to Colorado to live with her children; she died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. V. Linder.

Find a Grave member jreid reports that the City of Golden Cemetery records show "Francis" as Fannie's first name. This is at odds with "Twelve Generations of Family Blatter" and "The History of Waltersburg" by the late Robert K. Blatter, M..D. He consistantly refers to her as "Stephanie" or "Fannie."
