Mrs. Minnie S. Phillips, 87, of 2253 Yankee Street, Niles, died unexpectedly at her home Friday at 12:55 a.m.

Mrs. Phillips was born July 17, 1880, in Oswego County, New York, and had lived in the area since 1916.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Clarence Haslanger, Mrs. George Jones, and Miss Donna Phillips of Niles, and Mrs. G.P. Bailey of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Dutton, of Spokane, Wash. Her husband, Fred, died in 1937.

She was a member of the Daily Union Protestant church and a chrater member of the Yankee Street Neighbors club.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the Pifer funeral home, Niles. The Rev. William Schobert, pastor of the Daily Union Protestant church, will officiate.

Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.

Memorials may be made to the Dailey Union Protestant Church for American Bible Society.
