Fannie's mother Nancy was the daughter of Jobe Ramsey Sr. and Mary L. Woodward Ramsey both buried in the Old Station Cemetery in Marshall, North Carolina.
Nancy Ramsey was first married to Elisha Wallin (Wallen) May 2, 1844 in Yancey County, NC. Elisha was a Confederate soldier and was taken prisoner by the Federals and died at the Elmira prisoner of war camp in Elmira, New York October 22, 1864. Nancy then married Solomon Dudley but apparently he either died soon after Fannie was born or Nancy divorced him.
