Mr. Paxson had been employed here by the Rook brothers, first at the old Rook Coal C., and then at Marshalltown Sheet Metal Works, since 1935.
He was born March 1, 1915 at Green Mountain, the son of Fred and Susie Dimmit Paxson. He was graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1932.
He was married to Doloris Gardner Nov. 12, 1933, at Eldora.
His widow survives as do a son, Kenneth Paxson, city; a stepson, Wendell Gardner, Fox Lake, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Roberta) Page, Ontario, Calif.; two brothers, Walter Paxson, Gilman; Max Paxson, city; four grandsons and his stepmother, Mrs. Mabel Paxson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, in 1962.
