William D. Durbin was born in Taylorville, Illinois, November 1, 1935, He was preceeded in death by his parents Melvin Durbin and Beulah Agnes Stewart. He had 6 brothers Lester, Carrol, Morris, Donald, Martin and Floyd, and a sister, Darlene.
He was married in Germany in 1956 to Irmgard Heck for 46 years, until his death.
He was a Vietnam veteran, being stationed at Ubon Air force Base, Thailand and Clark Air force Base, Phillipines, with TDY assignments to Vietnam.
He was the father of two sons, Gary A. and James E., and a daughter, Sandra K. James died from medical complications directly related to Hurricane Katrina.
Bill was an accomplished artist with paintings hanging in many homes and businesses around the world.
